Elmer (on the yellow table), 11 years old, along with his two brothers, also attend our program. They live with their mother and survive with the help of their neighbors and the rent from their own home.
Elmer had some difficulties with socialization when he entered school, but our program, in addition to helping the family meet the basic needs of their children, is helping Elmer relate to his classmates and teacher in a healthier way, to coexist, and to be part of a society in which we believe he will be an instrument of progress rather than regression.
